AHD LOVES || JARDAN FURNITURE

Jardan is an Australian, family-owned furniture business where each piece is crafted to order, handmade in Melbourne. The business is run by two brothers Nick and Mike Garnham and their dedication to quality craftsmanship is wholly apparent. With their minimal lines and form, subtle colour palette, quest for functionality and modernist Scandinavian influences, Jardan certainly appealed to us. There's also another reason they captured our attention and that is their impressive dedication toward a sustainable future, having been certified Carbon Neutral through the Australian Government's National Carbon Offset Standard:

"Employing the philosophy of making small, meaningful changes everyday we aim to create big impact over time. We believe in making locally, acting mindfully and minimising all waste and by-product. It’s about taking responsibility."

Jardan have retail showrooms are in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and their work is available to view HERE.

AHD EXHIBIT || TANYA LINNEY AT CHINA HEIGHTS GALLERY

TALES OF TEMPT a recent exhibition by Sydney artist and former Australian model TANYA LINNEY at China Heights Gallery was one we were sad to miss.

"Dissatisfied with the effects of overwhelming stimulus, and the anxieties that come with an obsession with exterior self image, Tanya Linney has created a series of works in which to rest her mind. Layers of paint, charcoal, oil, collage and enamel reflect a world transforming - with lines between reality and fantasy blurred. The layers of colour are exciting and engaging and, without being the complete antithesis of their inspiration, they just look good. " - The Thousands
